1. What do I need to use CoachR?

To use all features offered by CoachR you need:

 

  • a cell phone with Bluetooth
  • a GPS receiver, either integrated in your mobile phone or a separate Bluetooth-GPS receiver
  • an internet connection on your cell phone
  • a free CoachR account

 

2. Will I be charged for the use of CoachR?

CoachR's online and mobile services are for free.

The only costs that might occur are originated in the internet connection charges of your cell phone operator. For the exact costs please check with your provider.

 

Every second, the cell phone sends a data package to CoachR that establishes your current position on the website. Within an hour, the cell phone sends data packages of about 100 kilobyte in total.

 

3. Will CoachR’s mobile software run on my cell phone?

CoachR’s mobile software runs on almost any type of cell phone which is equipped with Bluetooth.

 

At this moment, our mobile CoachR software is available for phones, running on the Symbian platform (most Nokia, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, LG and Motorola phones) and Windows Mobile Platform.

Versions for the iPhone, Android and Blackberry will follow later this year.

 

On some cell phones, the software does not work as desired. If you experience any problems, please contact us through the contact form of the support section, and we will try to solve the issues as soon as possible.

 

4. How do I install the mobile CoachR on my phone?

Installing the software on your mobile phone is very easy. Just establish an internet connection with your mobile phone and go to http://m.CoachR.com using your phone's web-browser. The instructions on the website will guide your through the software installation.

 

After the successful installation, you can find the software in the applications folder of your mobile phone.

5. Can I be called / call while streaming my workout in real-time at CoachR.com?

If somebody calls you during the workout, your phone will automatically switch to the incoming call. On most cell phones, for the duration of the call, the real-time tracking will be interrupted. As soon as you hang up, your position during the call will be uploaded to the website when the application resumes.

 

In case you you would like to call somebody during your workout, just quite the application and restart as soon as you're done.

 

6. Where can I upload my workouts?

Go to ‘my workouts’. At the top of the Calendar-tab you will find a ‘Upload new workout’ button. Just click and follow the instructions of the upload-wizard.

 

7. How do I create my own free CoachR account?

Creating an account is very easy with CoachR. On the top right corner of the website you can find the link ‘Register for free’. Just click, fill in the required information and enjoy using CoachR.

 

8. How can I set my trip to private?

At the start of each workout recording, you can choose whether you would like to share your workout with others or keep it private. If you change your mind, you can always change the settings afterwards, by editing your workout on the calendar tab.
